TOWNS

Henry County was established in 1819 from territory that had previously been part of the Creek Indian Nation. Created before Alabama was admitted to the Union, its original boundaries included what are now the counties of Barbour, Coffee, Covington, Crenshaw, Dale, Geneva, Houston, and Pike.
