Prestonville City

Carroll County, Kentucky

   

Prestonville is a home rule-class city located located west of the Kentucky River across from Carrollton.

Named for an early land owner, Francis Preston, Prestonville was established around 1795l and incorporated in 1867. A post office had been established in 1844, operating under various names until it was dissolved in 1954.
