Potomac as described in 1940 [1]
Potomac, population 150, is a crossroads village little changed since its founding in the eighteenth century. On the site of Tusculum Academy at the southern end of the town is now occupied by the Potomac Methodist Chruch. The academy was conducted by the Reverened James Hunt in pre-Revolutionary days and closed in 1781.
