Bedminster (originally called Bedminsterville) is an historic village in central Bedminster Township. A post office was incorporated in 1851 with Elias Ott as postmaster. Reuben Stever operated an active chairmaking business. The local general store, opened in 1834 by Adam Freidlich, was one of the largest of its kind in the county. Abraham Keller, having come from a family with decades of experience in running stores, took over in the 1870s.

A non-delivery post office continues in operation; zip 18910. An old schoolhouse once served as the Bedminster Township administrative offices. The village remains home to nearly 50 households.
