Northglenn [†] began as a planned suburban community. The land, originally farmland (including parcels like that of Thomas B. Croke Jr.), was purchased and developed in the late 1950s.
The Perl-Mack Company, a prominent Denver-area developer, designed Northglenn as a master-planned community. The first homes were constructed in 1959.
he community was notable for its modern amenities and planning, quickly attracting residents.
Northglenn was officially incorporated as a city in 1969, after a decade of rapid growth and development.
