The Eurka County clerks office is located at 311 North Main, Eureka, KS 67045.
Greenwood County was formally organized on March 14, 1862. After the end of the Civil War, emigrants poured into the area. Named for the moment a settler reportedly discovered a spring and shouted "Eureka!" the town formed on just over 300 acres surrounding the spring.
