Bonnycastle is a primarily residential city neighborhood of single and multi family homes the majority of which were built ca. 1900-1930s. A significant portion of the neighborhood's northern boundary borders Louisville's 400-acre Cherokee Municipal Park. Laid out in 1891, Cherokee is one of 18 Louisville parks designed by the man many consider as 'the father of landscape architecture,' Frederick Law Olmsted.
