Hughsonville

Wappinger Town, Dutchess County, NY

   

In the late 1930s Hughsonville had a population of nearly 700 people. It was settled as early as 1800. In the 1930s it was mention that "small white houses line both sides of the main street. An old two story frame building with long porches across the front was once an inn." [1]
