In 1953 [1] a construction firm started to develop Leopard Lake as a real estate venture at Sugartown and Newtown roads, in Easttown Township, on what was formerly the Humbert Powell estate. It included 37 ranch-type and two-story houses, an eight-acre lake named after the village close by, and a four acre recreational area.
