Merion Station

Merion Station is a neighborhood covering an imprecisely-defined area surrounding the SEPTA commuter rail station (293 Idris Road) originally built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1914. Located in the neighborhood is the circa 1715 Friends Meeting House (615 Montgomery Avenue), the second oldest Friends Meeting in the U.S. Homes building began in earnest following the opening of the Station.
