Originally known as theTown of Blackfoot, Dagsboro was created in 1747 and named for Revolutionary War general John Dagworthy. It was officially incorporated in the early 1900s. It is home to Price George's Chapel,circa 1755, recognized as one of the oldest churches in the U.S., listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
