All that remains of the settlement Tomlinson Corners is a cemetery with headstones primarily from the 19th century.
Brigham Young (the founder of Salt Lake City) lived near here with his family beginning around 1828. His first wife, Miriam (d. 1832) is buried here. It was while living here that Brigham Young discovered and first read the Book of Mormon.
