The East Coast Greenway connects 15 states and 450 cities and towns for 3,000 miles from Maine to Florida. We are fostering a safe walking and biking route through the country’s most populated corridor. Other States through which the Greenway passes are: New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia.
The nonprofit East Coast Greenway Alliance [†] leads the development of the trail network. They work with volunteers, partner organizations, and officials at the local, state, regional and national level to continue moving more of the route onto protected paths. Together, they are connecting people to nature and communities via a safe, accessible Greenway.
